Antisamos Beach
It has its own unique beauty! Sometimes during the summer, nightly concerts take place here. It became famous for the film “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin”. The entire surrounding area has been connected to the movie. Over there by the trees, they had built the village for the films’ needs.
Sami is the village where the most scenes of the movie “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin” were shot. You will have plenty of time to walk, do your shopping and drink a coffee.
There are buses waiting, for those who want to visit Melissani Lake. The lake is only 1.5km from Sami, and the total cost is 10€ for adults and 7€ for children.
Melissani Cave is located not far from Sami. It is a lacustrine cave of unique beauty and fully developed cave, which is 3.5 km long, 40m wide and 36m high. Melissani cave constitutes a unique geological phenomenon. Visitors reach the lake by an underground tunnel and have the opportunity to explore it with a boat and a guide. Therefore, they can admire this unique natural work of sculpture created by the stalactites and the crystal blue-green color of the waters.
Gorgotas Beach:
Another beautiful bay. In the background, a dock purposely built for the film “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin” stands out. Penelope Cruz and Nickolas Cage dove off this dock, in these waters.
Ag. Sofia Beach
The scenery is absolutely beautiful. In the middle of the beach lies an old fisherman’s house which nowadays is uninhabited. Do not expect a huge beach, umbrellas or any other luxuries.
Famous, cosmopolitan, distinct celebrity destination for the global jet set. Always packed with luxurious yachts. Fiskardo is the only village that wasn’t destroyed by the earthquake in 1953. It has kept its traditional color. It is picturesque, simple and beautiful. Small alleys, simple traditional houses, flowers and picturesque stores on the waterfront. A safe luxurious and comfortable yacht. Luxurious main sallon with big glasses around , they give you the sense feeling the sea very close to you. The seats on the main salon and on the upper deck have halfmoon arrangement so the passengers can seat company by company ,family by family with a table infront of them like in yachts. Referring the safety we are on the higher stage using auto released inflatable life rafts , as the ocean going ships. The two very modern VOLVO PENDA IPS engines 900 hp are making the difference as they are much more quitter than conventional shaft drives. Now you can enjoy the noise of the sea rather than the noise of the engines. NIRIIS is also equipped with stabilisers that can reduce rolling up to 70%, she is also fitted with two 24000 BTU marine air-conditioning units , a bow thruster and foul water treatment plant.
